Cancer of the CervixCentral Utah Public Health Department offers Pap Smear Screening Clinics on a regular basis. Every female should have regular screenings to detect Cervical Cancer. It is almost 100% curable when caught in its earliest stages. Cervical cancer is the third most prevalent cancer.

Since Cervical Cancer is atypical (meaning there are no signs or symptoms sometimes for years), the Pap Smear plays an important part in detection and treatment. When you have your yearly cervical Pap Smear test completed at your physician's office, the lab results will come back with a classification number which helps your doctor determine whether or not you will need further cancer testing completed.
