Overview of the South-Central Utah MRC Program

In September 2005, the South-Central Utah MRC became officially recognized as part of the White House's USA Freedom Corps initiative and the Department of Homeland Security's Citizen Corps. The program is sponsored by the Central Utah Public Heath Department with the objective of having a Medical Reserve Corps that will cover the six-county area. Since its onset a steering committee has been formed with representatives from each of our six counties.

MRC units are community-based organizations whose goals are to identify, train and organize medical professionals and others who want to donate their time and expertise during emergencies. The MRC will be a valuable asset to the communities of the six county region during emergencies and non-emergency public health campaigns.

We are currently accepting volunteer applicants for the South-Central Utah Medical Reserve Corps. If you or someone you know are interested in helping please complete the volunteer application and email, fax or mail it to us.
